Space Odyssey 2001 at the Libary!
How long has it been since you’ve seen Stanley Kubric’s classic movie Space Odyssey 2001 on a big screen? Come to the Newport Library on Tuesday, August 26th at 6:30 p.m. to do just that! Munch some popcorn as you watch the famous 1968 portrayal of the struggle between humanity and technology.
This movie showing is the last event of Newport Public Library’s 2014 Adult Summer Reading Program. The theme this year is “Literary Elements,” combining science and literature in a variety of events sure to pique your interest. All programs are free of charge. Homebrewing at the Library!
Interested
in making your own brew but don’t know where to start? Need some tips on
creating new recipes? Head over to the library on July 22 at 6:30 p.m. so Randy
Reid, head of The Good Heathens brew club, can show us what’s what. Reid will
talk about the necessary equipment,
ingredients, and the basic steps of the brewing process, as well as give advice
to seasoned homebrewers.
